The post-2015 development agenda is an important and crucial discussion that will affect the lives of young people in Europe and around the world for many years to come. The debate on what should follow the Millennium Development Goals when they expire next year is a tremendous opportunity for young people and youth organisations to share their development needs and priorities and enhance their role in shaping and delivering the next global development framework. The Youth Forum’s Board position paper on post-2015 sets out the vision for the world beyond 2015 and the framework for engagement in the process. It argues for a strong focus on the empowerment of young people and the identification of youth-specific targets and indicators. The Youth Forum will use this Position Paper to advocate, with members and partners, for a post-2015 sustainable development agenda focused on quality education, quality jobs, governance and participation, and equality and non-discrimination.
